Cala Llamp
Cala Llamp is situated at two kilometres from Port dAndratx, between Morro des Garrover and sa Punta des Cocó, as well as under sa Talaia (300 metres), which build the natural sea inlet where this beach is located. In the surroundings a village has been built. This coastal stretch is characterized by the absence of sand and the presence of stony areas. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good, as well as for diving, if the winds blowing from the south, southeast and west are not two strong on this coastal area. The navigator has to keep an eye on the rocky ground with pebbles and a depth of five metres, because there is a danger of running aground. The nearest port facilities are located at Port dAndratx, at three nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. You can park your car for free in the surroundings of this beach, next to the apartment block. You will have to go down the stairs to reach Cala Llamp. The proximity to Port dAndratx makes it possible to reach the tower Torre de Sant Carles. This military fortress was built in the 14th century, and rebuilt two centuries after, in order to defend the harbour from any attack. From here there are some breathtaking panoramic views over the port, the surrounding mountains of El Galatzó and sa Mola, and the island Illa de sa Dragonera. Information about this beach may change.
