De Calo D'En Pellicer
Caló d’en Pellicer is situated at seven kilometres from Calvià, between la Platja and the nearby Club Nàutic Santa Ponça. This u-shaped sea inlet finishes on a small cove, which is very long, but quite narrow, and has fine-grained golden sand. The beach is surrounded by medium-high rocky areas, and there is a vegetation of pine trees and tamarisks that hide the residential houses that have been built in the surroundings. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are the best of the bay of Santa Ponça. This coastal stretch is open to the wind from the east. The fact that it is a sea inlet explains that it is quite sheltered from the strong winds from the south-southeast-east that reach the Platja de Santa Ponça. In Caló del Pellicer there is a sandy ground with seaweed and the depth ranges from two to four metres. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. Once you are in the village of Santa Ponça you have to take Avenida Rei Jaume I that leads to this sandy area. The private car can be left on a free parking area. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located in front of one of the three pedestrian accesses to this beach. These characteristics explain that the beach is frequented by the residents of this area. Information about this beach may change.
