Cala Moltons or Caló des Moltons is situated at 3,5 kilometres from Sant Miquel de Balansat, located between Port de Sant Miquel and Illa des Bosc, as well as below Torre des Molar (97 metres high, the tower was finished in 1756). This beach belongs to the coast which, together with Port de Sant Miquel and es Pas de s’Illa des Bosc, is closed in the deep v-shaped sea inlet between Punta Blanca and de sa Ferradura, as well as the small islands illots Bernat and des Bosc A two kilometres long track separates this very small virgin and beautiful corner from the crowded and developed Port de Sant Miquel. The beach is small, covered by quite fine-grained golden sand and surrounded by medium-high cliffs with pine trees on the top, which protect from the wind. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good in the northwest of this beach, sheltered from Illa des Bosc, where the depth ranges from four to 13 metres on a sandy ground with seaweed. The transparent water and the rich marine ground invite you to dive. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. The last two hectometres have to be done on foot. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at three hectometres. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by tourists. Information about this beach may change.
