Sant Adeodato
Sant Adeodato or Platja de Binicodrell is situated at four kilometres from es Migjorn Gran, located between Illot de Binicodrell, adjacent to Platja de Binigaus, and Punta Negra, adjacent to Platja de Santo Tomàs, as well as next to the village of Santo Tomàs, with residential houses and touristy buildings at few metres from the coast. In the surroundings there are also some agricultural areas. This beach belongs to an enormous u-shaped sea inlet which is the origin of this huge bay, totally open to the sea. This coastal stretch is characterized by the quite big size, the beach is sandy, there are rocky areas on the western natural breakwater, and there is a thick pone wood that reaches the coastline. It is very crowded by local visitors and tourists. It is exposed to the winds from the southeast-south-southwest, quiet crystal clear water, gentle breeze, and it is an urban beach. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are not good because it is not very deep and it is totally unsheltered. Between the beach and the small island you should only navigate if the weather is goof and with small boats. From this beach you can walk to Cova des Coloms, known as la Cathedral, on a trail next to Barranc de Binigaus. In this very big cave religious cults were celebrated during the prehistory. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. camí de Cavalls also leads to this coastal corner.
