Arenal En Tem- Trenc II
S’Arenal d’en Tem is situated at 11 kilometres from Campos, located between Punta d’en Ferrer and Platja d’es Trenc, and it belongs to the Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès es Trenc-Salobrar de Campos. This sandy area is the beginning of the three and a half kilometres of the coast of Platja d’es Trenc. This beach has white and fine-grained sand, gentle slope and a dune system that separates the beach from the saline area and the farmland (sa Savina des Turó Gros). The water open to south-southwest-west-northwest are transparent. The ground is sandy, with some stony areas and seaweed, at a depth of four metres. The navigators are recommended to stay away from the beach, because there is a flagstone of half a metre which can’t be seen if the weather is bad. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic de sa Ràpita, at one and a half nautical miles. The beach is quite crowded by local visitors and tourists. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. You can leave your private car in the surroundings of this beach and the nearest bus stop is at about two hundred metres. From s’Arenal d’en Tem you can walk to one of the nearby beaches, es Freu de ses Covetes or Platja d’es Trenc. On the coastline of this last one there a still six bunkers of the Civil War, also used during the post-war period in order to guard the horizon in case of a possible disembarkation of troops.
