Cala Brafi
Cala Brafi is situated at 2,5 kilometres from Portocolom. This sea inlet is 130 metres long and is about 50 metres large, and it finishes on a comfortable beach in a virgin environment. There is only an escar built in this landscape, which is charaterized by low cliffs, pine trees, lentisc, bushes and other vegetation. This sandy area of the coast of Felanitx is characterized by the small size and by the rocks here and there which might be a problem to extend the towel, it is very quiet and nudism is allowed. Anchoring is only recommended for boats with little draught. There is a sandy ground with seaweed and the depth ranges from seven metres at the entrance to four in the middle and three next to the beach, where it is possible to run aground. The navigator must keep an eye on Faralló d’en Fred at about 200 metres from the natural entrance. Anchoring boats is complicated when the wind blows from the northeast-east-southeast. The nearest port facilities are located at Port de Portocolom, at 1,6 nautical miles. The access on the land way has to be done on foot. The private car can be left under the pine trees, where there is place for half a dozen of cars, at 550 metres from Cala Brafi, on the outskirts of the village of Cala Marçal. You will follow some trails in bad conditions and you have to overcome some obstacles to reach this sandy and rocky area. These characteristics explain that the beach is not crowded at all by tourists.
