Cala Llombards is the mouth of the torrent of Son Amer, located at seven kilometres from Santanyí, next to the village with the same name. This quiet white sandy area, which continues for many metres toward the interior, until the pine wood by which it is limited, is surrounded by very high and steep cliffs. These elements explain that the beach is mostly visited by the families who live in the houses nearby. One of the highlights of Cala Llombards is the excellent panoramic view from the mythical geological feature of es Pontàs (big bridge in English), a rock which has been eroded by the waves that seems a bridge in the sea. There are also some escars in the cliffs, used by the fishers to keep their boats. Cala Llombards is an excellent alternative to Cala Santanyí for anchoring boats on days with wind blowing from the south and southeast, on a sandy ground, at a depth that ranges from six metres in the entrance to three in the interior. The nearest port facilities are located at Port de Cala Figuera de Santanyí, at 2,4 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy. You can park your car for free on the large parking area next to the beach. But getting there by bus is impossible. From Cala Llombards you can reach on foot the beautiful villages and places of the surroundings, like Caló des Moro on a trail without signs between steep cliffs ad scrubland.
