Cala Carbo

Cala Carbó is situated at 7,3 kilometres from Pollença, next to Cala Molins, Cala Clara and Cala Barques which belong to Cala Sant Vicenç and it is the less frequented of the four because there are no touristic facilities. This small wonderful sea inlet is sheltered from the dangerous winds from the north by the cliffs, with no vegetation, not very high, and the right part is surrounded by residential buildings. The pebbles and the gravel with some rests of posidonia and some little beached boats cover the beach in front of crystal clear water. The ground has sand, seaweed, gravel, a steep slope and it has a depth of more than three metres at two hectometres from the coast, whereas the marine conditions in the four beaches that belong to Cala Sant Vicenç are very dangerous for anchoring boats with storm of if a strong wind blows from the north-northeast. You are recommended to anchor in Cala Barques keeping a reasonable distance from the coast, because at 150 metres there is a flagstone at less than a metres of depth. The nearest port facilities are located at Port de Pollença, at 16,3 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. You will have to park on the road if you find some space. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at about 300 metres of distance. These characteristics explain that the beach is not too crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
