Cala Fonoll

Cala en Fonoll or Cala Fonoll is situated at 2,2 kilometres from Andratx in the bay of Port d’Andratx. This small coastal stretch of the municipality of Andratx is surrounded by cliffs. On one of the sides a hotel has been built on the coastline, whereas on the other side there are residential houses. The beach and the ground have the same composition, gravel and greyish pebbles. The marine and underwater conditions allow the anchoring of boats if the wind from the west is not too strong. If this should happen, the navigator is recommended to anchor his boat behind the breakwater of Port d’Andratx, the port facilities located at 0,2 nautical miles. At one and a half hectometres from the coast of Cala Fonoll there is a depth of eight metres on a stony ground. The accessibility by car is easy follow the signs. After the Club de Vela Port d’Andratx you will find camino Cala Fonoll that takes you to this quiet coastal corner, or you can also reach it through calle sa Pedrera. You can park your private car for free in this area. You can also reach this cove with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is in Port d’Andratx, and you have to walk the rest of the distance. There is a ramp on the beach that leads to Cala Fonoll. These characteristics explain that the beach is not crowded at all. Information about this beach may change.
