Cala Llonga
Cala Llonga is situated at four kilometres from Santa Eulària des Riu, between s’Escull de Llibrell and Punta Roja, as well as below Cap des Llibrell (222 metres above the sea level) and Puig Marina (243 metres high). It gives also the name to the nearby village and at two hectometres from the beach there is a camping area. This spectacular round and u-shaped sea inlet continues for 700 metres between abrupt and steep cliffs, and it finishes on a wide sandy area with fine-grained white sand. The slope is gentle (at 25 metres from the coast there is a depth of only 1,1 metres and at 70 two hectometres). The orientation is toward east, and the wind blows very gentle from the sea. The morphological characteristics makes it sheltered from the swell in the interior, so that this beach is good for swimming, as well as for sailing sports and diving or anchoring boats but only during the day, if the water is calm, between the middle (the depth ranges from five to 10 metres) and the entrance (16 metres deep) of this sea inlet on a sandy ground with seaweed. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at 20 metres. These characteristics (landscape, service, safety and accessibility) explain that the beach is very crowded. Information about this beach may change.
