Platja d’en Bossa is situated at 2,5 kilometres from Eivissa, between Punta de sa Mata (you should visit Torre de sa Sal Rossa) and es Viver. This sandy area is very long and the first two kilometres belong to the municipality of Sant Josep de la Talaia and the other seven to the municipality of Ciutat d’Eivissa. The southern area is the largest (35 metres), whereas the northern area is smaller (20 metres). Nevertheless it is the second beach of PitiĆ¼ses with these dimensions. This urban beach is a very big bay, the natural ground has fine-grained white sand. It is open to the east and suffers the moderate wind (blowing from the sea), so that you can do sailing sports in this area. the slope is very gentle, at 50 metres from the coast the depth is only 1,3 metres. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good, although it is open to the wind from the northeast-east-southeast-south. The best area to anchor a boat is in the south of this sandy area, at about 400 metres from the beach, on a sandy ground with seaweed, and the depth ranges from four to seven metres. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at 100 metres. Another possibility is by bicycle or on foot from Eivissa. In the summer there is a great influx of visitors. Information about this beach may change.
