Cala Santanyí is situated at six kilometres from Santanyí and from here you can walk until the beautiful place of es Pontàs, a rock which has been eroded by the waves that seems a bridge in the water, or sa Torre Nova, an old defence tower. This touristy beach with quiet water, where the torrent which shaped this place flows into, has a gentle slope and is full of tourists who live in the hotels that have been constructed near the sand, and in this bay you can surf and dive, there is a small diving school. This sheltered cove is good for anchoring sailing ships. It is a recommended shelter for the boats on days with wind blowing from the north-northeast. The big boats will share the place with the small boats of the residents. The depth ranges from five and eight metres. If a strong wind blows from the east-southeast you will have to anchor behind the breakwater, where the jetty for the fishers is. This is why you are recommended to anchor in Cala Llombards. The nearest port facilities are located at Port Cala Figuera de Santanyí, at 2,1 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy to Cala Santanyí. Next to the beach there is a parking area which is normally full. In this case you can park in the streets of the adjacent village with the same name. Here you won’t have any problems to find a place. Due to all these characteristics, Cala Santanyí is quite crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
