Costa d’en Blanes or Platja d’en Blanes is situated at 12 kilometres from Palma, between Punta Negra and Puerto Portals, as well as the delfinarium Marineland. This small sandy area with coarse-grained golden sand is surrounded by some facilities for the mass tourism. On the western part of the coastline there is a rocky inlet, and behind you can find a quiet area. The marine and underwater conditions are excellent for anchoring boats. It is normal to see boats at two hectometres from the wharf of the adjacent Puerto Portals, with a sandy ground with seaweed at a depth that ranges from three to five metres. The navigators consider that Puerto Portals is one of the best infrastructures of the Balearic archipelago and Europe, where you can find some of the most beautiful and expensive boats of the Mediterranean basin, some of the best restaurants of the Balearic Islands and some popular night clubs ideal for young people who live here or visit Majorca. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area next to the beach. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located next to the beach. These characteristics explain that the beach is very crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
