El Maressar or Punta de sa Torre is situated at seven kilometres from Pollença. This headland is located between Cala Molins and Cala Clara, and it belongs to the wide bay of Cala Sant Vicenç, including the bathing areas of Cala Carbó and Cala Barques, as well as the rocky Punta Negra and de Coves Blanques. This coastal corner is below Talaia Vella, which is 355 metres high. This beach headland is characterized by a coastal stretch which is quite small, an area with pebbles and some low rocky cliffs, absence of vegetation and it is exposed to the winds of the first quadrant, a steep slope, emerging and underwater reefs, a moderate swell, a sea promenade, some excellent panoramic views and the fact of being next to the village of Cala Sant Vicenç (excellent views from the cliffs of Serra de Cavall Bernat, more than 300 metres high). The marine and underwater conditions in the bay of Cala Sant Vicenç become dangerous if the wind blows strongly from the north, northeast and east, because it is open to the air currents and the swell enters with a big force against the coast. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located in the surroundings. These characteristics explain that the beach is not too crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
