Cala Banyalbufar is situated at 17 kilometres from Valldemossa, between Punta de sa Galera and sa Pedra de s’Ase. In the surroundings there is a residential area and touristic buildings. This beautiful v-shaped sea inlet of the Serra de Tramuntana finishes on a small cove which is quite long but very narrow. It has pebbles and gravel. It is surrounded by steep and vertical cliffs and the thick pine trees, formed by the wind, make the brightness of this area even stronger and makes the water look more transparent, which is very good for diving. The marine and underwater conditions are not safe for anchoring boats because it is very exposed to the strong winds blowing from the west-northwest-north and the swell. The navigator is recommended to anchor in Port des Calonge or in sa Galera, which are safer. If the navigator still wants to anchor in front of this beach he will find a ground with gravel and rocks, and the depth ranges from three to five metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Port de Sóller, at 11,3 nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. Once you have reached the village of Banyalbufar, you have to take calle Major which leads to this cove. The private car can be left on a free parking area. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at half a kilometre. These characteristics explain that the beach is not too crowded by local visitors and tourists. Information about this beach may change.
