Cala Cranc or Cala en Cranc is situated at five kilometres from Andratx, between Cala Blanca and Platja de Camp de Mar. on this coastal stretch between Cala Blanca, sa Mina and Cala Cranc, which has an extension of six and a half hectometres, there are 11 huge rocks, so that the navigators are recommended to stay away from the coast. This beach is the result of a u-shaped sea inlet, and which becomes a coast of pebbles and sand. There are some medium-high cliffs in the surroundings of this bay, and there are some reefs on both sides. At the rear there is no vegetation and the proximity of the residential houses. The headline on the right side has an excellent panoramic view over the cliffs and a beautiful landscape of Cap des Llamp and Andritxol (both belong to the Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès of Cap des Llamps and Cap Andritxol –184 hectares, respectively-). The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good, although you have to keep a reasonable distance to the coast because there are some sandbanks and reefs. In the entrance of this bay there is a depth that ranges between three and five metres. In the nearby Cala Blanca you can also anchor on a sandy ground with pebbles, and the depth ranges between two and four metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Santa Ponça.
