Cala Moltó is situated at three kilometres from Cala Ratjada. This beach, Cala Agulla and Cala Mesquida were declared in 1991 Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès by the Parlament de les Illes Balears. This quite small coastal area is located behind Punta des Gulló, and it has a characteristic shape and a rocky ground. This natural setting is only spoilt by some escars and a bunker of the Civil War, the rest takes the visitor back to the paradise of quiet isolation surrounded by some pine trees shaped by the wind. The coast is open to the winds blowing from the northeast and east and you are not recommended to anchor here on a sandy and stony ground with a depth of five metres. You will have to be very careful. The wind might change direction suddenly, with a risk of running aground, and this is why you are recommended to anchor away from the coast. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic Cala Ratjada, at three nautical miles. The accessibility by car is easy. You have to take the deviation toward Cala Agulla on the road between Capdepera and Cala Ratjada, which finishes on a pay-parking area (2,1 euros), open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. the last half kilometre until the beach has to be done on foot. These characteristics and the accessibility explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists, and nudism is normal. From Cala Moltó you can start a 10 kilometres walk between pine trees and scrubland toward Cala Mesquida. Information about this beach may change.
