Cala sa Marjal is situated at 4,1 kilometres from Son Servera. It is the widest beach of the bay of Son Servera, between sa Punta de n’Amer and Cap des Pinar, the only sandy area of this municipality with few residential constructions. It belongs to the general denomination of Costa dels Pins. This long and not very wide beach has fine, greyish sand. This last characteristic is due to the huge quantity of organic rests of posidonia. Behind this beach we will find a big pine wood. Anchoring boats is easy when wind from the fourth quadrant blows, in front of the landing stage of the village of Costa dels Pins, on a sandy and stony ground with a depth that ranges from two to four metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Port Esportiu de Cala Bona, at 1,3 nautical miles. The morphological characteristics and the touristic activity explain that this coastal area is very popular amongst local and tourist families who decide to spend the summer here. This sandy area of the eastern Majorca has a medium occupancy of both types of visitors. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. You can park your private car for free in the surroundings of this beach of the bay of Son Servera. You will have to look for parking between the bushes on this esplanade. You can also reach the beach with a touristic mini-train which does the route during the summer. Information about this beach may change.
