Cala Sant Vicent
Cala Sant Vicent, Cala Maians or sa Cala is situated at 10 kilometres from Sant Joan de Labritja, located between es Roig and Punta Grossa or Cap des Llamp, as well as next to the village with the same name. In the surroundings there is sa Cove des Cuieram, a Punic sanctuary in honour to the divinity Tánit (5th century BC). This enormous u-shaped sea inlet finishes on a beach with fine-grained golden sand. There are touristy buildings and a green valley irrigated by Torrent de sa Cala and one of the biggest and best preserved pine woods of Eivissa at the rear. This beautiful sandy area which has excellent panoramic views has a gentle slope (at 30 metres from the coast there is a depth of only two metres), and orientation toward southeast and an exposition to the wind from the east-southeast-south, normally blowing gently from the sea. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good on a sandy ground, sheltered from the air currents from the north and west. In the entrance there is a depth of 18 metres and at 150 metres from the coast it reduces to seven. The navigator has to know that there are some rocks at 20 metres from the coast and at a depth of 1,2 metres. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at 50 metres.
