Platja d’en Bossa is situated at 2,5 kilometres from Eivissa, between Punta de sa Mata (you are recommended to visit Torre de sa Sal Rossa) and es Viver. This sandy area is very long and the first two belong to the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia and the other seven hectometres to the municipality of Ciutat d’Eivissa. The southern area is the largest one (35 metres) and the northern one is quite narrow (20 metres). It is the second beach of PitiĆ¼ses by area. this urban beach is an enormous sea inlet, which has a natural surface made of very fine-grained white sand. The orientation is toward east and the gentle wind blows normally from the sea, so that all sort of sailing sports are possible here. The slope of this beach is gentle, at 50 metres from the coast there is a depth of only 1,3 metres. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good, although the beach is exposed to the wind blowing from the northeast-east-southeast-south. The best area to anchor your boat is in the south of this sandy area at about 400 metres from the coastline, on a sandy ground with seaweed, where the depth ranges from four to seven metres. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs. The private car can be left on a free parking area. You can also reach this beach with the public transport or by bicycle. The nearest bus stop is located at about 100 metres. It is a very crowded beach in the summer. Information about this beach may change.
