Sa Pesquera Plana or na Plana is situated at 15 kilometres from Llucmajor, between Cala Blava or Cala Mosques and Caló de ses Donardes or Caló de ses Lleonardes, and also below the village of Cala Blava. This very small v-shaped sea entrance is characterized by the presence of rocks, pebbles and the absence of sand. The access to the Mediterranean sea is not recommended for small children. The most regular visitors of this place are the residents of the village of Cala Blava. The marine and underwater conditions allow the anchoring of boats only if the weather is good, due to the fact that the coast is wide open and not even the boats with little draught would resist the force of the wind and the sea from southwest to north. Nevertheless, if the conditions are good, the navigator can approach the coast and anchor on the sandy areas that can be seen in front of na Plana. The nearest port facilities are located at Club Nàutic s’Arenal. This rocky coast which is typical for the southern and south-western area of the island begins at Cala Sant Antoni, adjacent to the starboard breakwater of Club Nàutic s’Arenal, and finishes at the sandy area of sa Ràpita (Campos). The stretch between Punta de s’Arenal and sa Pesquera des Governador is full of steep cliffs, (Calonet de s’Almadrava and des Cap Alt, es Mollet des Rei, and other corners), a result of the wind, the sea currents and the mouth of the torrents.
