Cavall D'En Borràs

Cavall d’en Borras is situated at two kilometres from la Savina, located in Cala Savina and Platgeta des Carregador. In this natural setting nudism is allowed and from this coast you can see the stony, impressive and enigmatic profile of the small islands es Vedrà and es Vedranell which belong to Ibiza, with a height of 382 and 128 metres respectively. This quiet beach is characterized by the fact of being very small, it has fine-grained white sand, an orientation toward north and absence of swell. The slope is very gentle (at 50 metres from the coast there is a depth of 1,5 metres), as well as a ground which is covered by seaweed. This coastal corner belongs to the Àrea Natural d’Especial Interès de ses Salines. At the rear of this wild and virgin sandy area you can find a system of dunes as well as thick bushes which continue until the nearby Estany Pudent and Salines de Formentera. It is also very close to Port de la Savina, the only sea communication point from Formentera toward the exterior. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car, moped or bicycle can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings (except in summer when a free will have to be paind in case of access by vehicle and motorcycle). You can also come on foot from la Savina. You can also reach this beach with the public transport. The nearest bus stop is located at one hectometre. These characteristics explain that the beach of Cavall d’en Borràs is very crowded by local visitors and tourists. When the beach has a lifeguard service, you must follow the lifeguards’ instructions and the warnings on flags. A red flag indicates dangerous swimming conditions and means that swimming is not permitted. A yellow flag indicates that precaution must be taken, but that swimming is permitted. A green flag indicates that swimming is permitted. An orange flag is used to indicate that the lifeguard is absent. Act cautiously when no lifeguard is present or the service is not available and enjoy the beach without taking any unnecessary risks.
