S’Arenal de sa Ràpita is situated at 11 kilometres from Campos. This beautiful sandy area belongs to the coastal part of the village of sa Ràpita, in the municipality of Campos, which is an area full of holiday homes for the local and foreign residents. The western end is Club Nàutic sa Ràpita and the eastern limit is the rocky area of Can Sordo, which is the natural border with Platja des Trenc. This beach is characterized by the beautiful natural surroundings: fine sand and a dune ecosystem, the pine wood behind the sandy area, the calmness and being very popular amongst surfers and windsurfers. There is also the singularity of the defence tower Son Durí, built in the 16th century in order to prevent Saracen attacks and which belongs nowadays to Club Nàutic de sa Ràpita, and is still well preserved. The water allows anchoring boats in front of the beach, on the east and southeast part of the entrance to the nautical club, on a sandy ground of four metres of depth approximately at three hectometres of the coast. You are not recommended to do this manoeuvre if the wind blows from the southeast-south-southwest. The beach is not too crowded by residents and tourists, the accessibility by car is easy and if you come with a private car you can leave it on the pay-parking (three euros a day), because the free parking is very rare. The nearest bus stop is at some 200 metres. Information about this beach may change.
