Caló des Màrmols is situated at 14 kilometres from ses Salines, and it is the last cove from east to west of the municipality of Santanyí. The name, like the torrent that flows into its water, although it is nearly always dry, comes from the white colour of the sand and rocks of which it is surrounded (màrmols means marble in English). This pleasant and beautiful virgin beach is located between cliffs which rise up to 20 metres, giving it the form of a triangle, exposed to the winds from east-southeast-south and with a breathtaking view over the archipelago of Cabrera. The clean and transparent water has a sandy ground with gravel and pebbles. The depth for anchoring ranges from three to four metres. The nearest port facilities are located at Port de Cala Figuera de Santanyí, at 4,2 nautical miles. The few visitors who reach this isolated corner with no constructions come here on the seaway, although you can reach it on foot from Cap de ses Salines (a complicated walk of five kilometres between small cliffs) or crossing the private finca of Rafel des Porcs (2,5 kilometres on a sandy trail), after asking for information and authorization, because it is easy to get lost, due to the lack of signs. The finca Rafel des Porcs is one of the largest private properties of the municipality of Santanyí, along nearly all the coast between Caló des Màrmols until Cala Figuereta. You will find pines, bushes and scrubland vegetation on this piece of the coastline. Information about this beach may change.
