Caló de Sant Antoni is situated at 13 kilometres from Llucmajor, between the starboard breakwater of Club Nàutic de s’Arenal and Calonet des Fornàs, and below the village of Son Verí, which gets its name from the possessió (rural finca) where this residential area is located. From this beach the wide sandy areas which you can find travelling west finish and a steep rocky coast, which is characteristic of the south-western and southern area of the island. The sand will only be present in the distant beach of sa Ràpita (Campos). The stretch between Caló de Sant Antoni and Punta de s’Arenal –where there are breathtaking panoramic views over the bay of Palma- there are other very small inlets like the coves Verda, d’en Sarregà and Calenta, Calonet des Fornás, es Rentador de sa Senyora, Caló de Sant Vicenç, and ses Pedreres. Between s’Arenal de Llucmajor and Caló de Sant Antoni you will then find Torrent de Son Verí o de s’Algar –this last name is due to the huge quantity of posidonia that can be found there-, and which flows into the nearby Club Nàutic s’Arenal, producing a small cove called es Saulet (which in English means “noise” or “murmur”, because the fishers used to think that the waves made a special noise before a changing of the weather). A modern promenade allows to follow the coast and reach the mirador de la Roca des Turistes. Information about this beach may change.
